The Schelin Catheter makes it possible to deliver medical products to the prostate and surrounding tissue under aseptic conditions. The instrument consists of a transurethral catheter and an injection needle inserted into the prostate at an angle of 30 degrees. The Schelin Catheter is anchored in place at the bladder neck using a balloon and medical products can be delivered to different areas of the prostate. This method of drug delivery is the most convenient method for both the physician and the patient.
